Abbey Court is a complex of over three hundred apartments off of Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro, North Carolina. It’s home to a large number of families who are mostly low-income minorities, a diverse community which includes Latino, African American, and Burmese peoples. The people of Abbey Court are a group disadvantaged both economically and politically. Abbey Court has had a complicated and controversial history involving crime, drug busts, and real estate managers taking advantage of their tenants, but despite all that the community remains robust and lively.
